Narangba State School Disco
DJ SAM walked into a sea of balloons, banners, BAM, POW, KRUNCH signs and a stage set ready for a fun night. The theme was SUPERHEROS and the juniors were up first. Batman, Spiderman, Wonderwoman, Supergirl, Superman, Batgirl you name it, they were all there!
We started off the night with a big Eye of the Tiger warm-up with boxing, superhero moves, flash running and spiderman jumps.
The boys vs girls dance off was a big hit with the points being so close DJ Sam had trouble deciding who were the winners. In the end the girls were the winners with their crazy Shake it Off Taylor Swift moves but the boys made up for it with their awesome singing.
We rocked out with our air guitars to WE WILL ROCK YOU singing as loud as we would at the top of our lungs.
The juniors loved showing off their costumes and moves as they danced the night away to Shut up and Dance with me, Chicken Dance, Macarena, Gangmen Style and This is Me from The Greatest Showman.
Soon it was time for the Seniors to make their way onto the dance floor and show off their crazy costumes and moves. Some of the kids got to come up onto the stage and show off their craziest move and everybody in the crowd had to follow along. The Boys won the dance off with their insane moves to TURN DOWN FOR WHAT, the girl definitely came close to winning with their singing and bopping to Bang Bang with Ariana Grande.
The limbo stick competition was a big hit of the night with a line out the door and into the bathroom. It was mandatory that if you were in the limbo line you had to keep dancing, waving your hands in the air and cheering at the top of your lungs.
The mums even came up onto the stage and showed off their moves to WHITNEY- Wanna Dance with Somebody. DJ Sam made the kids form a tunnel as the mums and volunteers made their way through the arch singing and dancing.
It was a SUPER themed disco with SUPER singing and dancing.
