Fig Tree Pocket State School Disco

Friday nights were made for Discos and boy did Fig Tree Pocket State School arrive dressed to impress.

The theme was Light up your Life and they lit up the school hall like crazy.
There was a dance floor covered in masks, hats, sequins, sparkles and so much more.

We kicked off with the junior disco and even the parents were showing off their fancy moves. The song request of the night was Madagasca- I LIKE TO MOVE IT, a traditional song passed through the generations at Fig Tree Pocket State School. The preps learn the routine every year and show it off at their annual school disco, wow what amazing moves, DJ Sam couldn’t keep up.

The prizes went to best dressed boy and best dressed girl, the best dressed boy was in a handmade costume of a BANANA, he even had banana bling and banana lights.

Soon it was time for the seniors disco and we danced for a solid hour and a half. There was the whip nae nae, cha cha slide, macarena and all the latest hits. The boys took out the dance off with their crazy cheering and enthusiasm.

The children and families were rising money for Solar buddy. The disco was also Supported by lord mayors suburban initiative fund.

What a fantastic way for the school community to come together and raise money for such a fantastic charity.

See you next time Fig Tree Pocket State School.
